One application, two outcomes

The process of applying for equity schemes & scholarships is simple. Submit one single application to be considered for special consideration and scholarships.

Plan your time

Depending on which grounds you are applying under, an equity schemes & scholarships application can take several weeks to complete. This is because some areas require supporting evidence, such as financial evidence or a statement of support from someone who can verify your circumstances. You may be required to get evidence from a health practitioner or other professional. This evidence can take a while to collect.

The application may also require you to provide your own description of circumstances and impact statement, which we recommend you make time to draft before submitting.

Automatic consideration

Once you complete your profile, you will automatically be considered for the personal information & location equity scheme. You can choose to not be considered for this category, by opting-out on the Manage Permissions page.

Research the requirements

Research the equity schemes & scholarships application requirements as soon as possible. You can find them on the following pages:

Scholarship benefit statement

Under the scholarship benefit statement, you can explain how a scholarship will benefit your studies. There is no need to repeat any financial hardship details if you have applied for this special consideration and instead focus on the benefits of receiving a scholarship.

Statement on community service and leadership

If you have performed any benefits towards your local community, have leadership skills or experience that contributed towards effective leading and/or management of people, you can include an additional statement that will be considered towards your scholarship application.
